When the clock strikes midnight, the Dark Hour begins. While the city sleeps, you and your friends must defeat powerful foes in order to prevent stark outcomes for the innocent. If that wasn’t intimidating enough, you also need to strengthen your bonds and pass your coursework. Balancing all of these priorities and more is the fate of the Persona 3 hero.
If you intend to earn a Persona 3 platinum trophy, you must be just as diligent as your player character. Persona 3 Portable and Persona 3 Reload are both incredibly time-consuming platinum trophies for trophy hunters to pursue. A casual playthrough of either game generally takes about 60-80 hours. Completionists are likely to spend around 100 hours for Persona 3 Portable and 70 hours for Persona 3 Reload. These numbers can easily get out of hand if you encounter any issues requiring additional playthroughs. It is shockingly easy to make a mistake in these titles, especially since there isn’t much wiggle room to work with in the schedule.
I created these visual aid calendars to help players feel more confident while trophy hunting in either version of Persona 3. They cover every in-game day to ensure that you spend your time optimally. If you follow along, you will have a much easier time getting the platinum trophy.
Worried about whether to choose a male or female protagonist in Persona 3 Portable? Worry not—I created resources for both routes, so feel free to pick your favorite!
Table of Contents
Persona 3 Portable (Male 100% Route)
Trophies to Keep in Mind
The provided calendar is intended to be all-encompassing of a successful initial playthrough of Persona 3 Portable. If you follow the calendar to the letter, you will acquire the vast majority of trophies. However, there is one trophy you will be missing:
- A Pair of Wild Cards: Beat the game with each protagonist.
- After completing your initial 100% playthrough, you will have to play the game a second time as the other playable character. It is completely up to you whether you want to do the male or female route first, but you have to experience both fully to earn this trophy.
In addition to the above, I will list the remainder of trophies that you may need to keep in mind while in Tartarus. Since they most likely will be obtained naturally, I will let their descriptions speak for themselves.
- Advantage Mine: Enter a battle with Player Advantage.
- The Nose Doesn’t Always Know: Experience a fusion accident.
- Displaying Adaptability: Switch Personas 5 times in 1 battle.
- Going Nova: Deal over 999 damage in 1 attack.
- Skilled Commander: Perform 50 All-Out Attacks.
- Tactical Fighter: Exploit enemy weaknesses 100 times.
- Grasping At Greed: Defeat a Golden Hand.
Notes for Use
Below, you can click on the individual months to open them in a new tab at a larger size. You can also use the keyboard shortcuts CTRL + and CTRL – to adjust the zoom level as needed for your screen size.
Only quests that are strictly necessary or overtly helpful for trophies have been accounted for, but feel free to do as many as you like. In particular, you need to complete the requests pertaining to persona fusions, visits with the Velvet Room attendant, and defeating the Reaper.
In general, you should make sure to do the following:
- Succeed dialogue checks with characters. I recommend using this Steam guide. It outlines every dialogue for the male route on one page, so you can easily search for what you need.
- Bring matching personas for social links in your inventory. The only social links that you do not need personas for are: Tanaka (Devil), Mutatsu (Tower), Akinari (Sun), Pharos (Death), S.E.E.S. (Fool), and Team (Judgement).
- Make sure to stay tired/sick where stated in the footnotes. This helps you get more Courage points.
- Save often. Don’t panic if you fall slightly behind, but try to adhere as closely as you can to the calendar. There is some wiggle room near the end in December and January, but keep in mind that several social links start later.
- Money grinding. Many events and items in the game can be quite expensive, requiring you to grind for money preemptively. In general, you should try to keep your funds above $100-120k.
