Have you ever wanted to put your trophy hunting skills to the test? One popular challenge in the trophy hunting community is to earn a set number of platinum trophies by a certain deadline. This is most commonly done over the span of a month, leading to the aptly named “30 Days 30 Platinums” challenge.
If you have a lot of gaming knowledge, you can map out every step of the challenge on your own. However, planning a challenge of this caliber can be time-consuming to research! That’s why we created a tool to do the heavy lifting for you.
Roll the proverbial dice and see what games you need to complete by a self-imposed deadline. In our Challenge Randomizer tool, you can even spice things up with any number of days, number of titles you’d like to complete, or even gaming hours per day. In other words, you can create any type of “X Games in Y Days” challenge you can think of!
Can you complete 30 platinum trophies in 30 days? 7 platinum trophies in 7 days? Or what about 50 platinum trophies in 25 days? Let us know how (un)lucky you are in the comments below!

How to Use the Challenge Randomizer
- Enter how many days you’d like your challenge to last. For example, enter 7 days for a week, 14 days for two weeks, or 30 days for a month.
- Enter how many games you’d like to complete by the end of your challenge. Generally, you want this number to match however many days you’ve selected. However, you can go higher or lower to suit your needs.
- Enter how many hours you can commit to for daily gaming sessions. If you plan to have days where you don’t play at all, consider selecting a lower number here to allow for wiggle room.
- Press the “Give me a random list!” button and see your results!
- If the Challenge Randomizer doesn’t return a list of games, you may have entered impossible conditions. Note that the longer your challenge is, the more difficult it is for the tool to find an adequate number of titles.
- Feel free to re-run the tool as much as you like until you get a list that works for your needs.
- Want more variety in game lengths?
- Keep the number of days and the hours spent gaming per day the same and vary the number of games in your challenge.
- Double the number of games to generate shorter games, and halve the number of games to generate longer ones. Select an equal number of games from both of these adjusted lists. Replace undesirable titles from the original list with the new ones.
- The longer and shorter lengths of the newly generated games will even out in the long-run.

The Challenge Randomizer
Developer Notes
- Updated on October 1, 2024.
- Almost 2,000 games are included in the Challenge Randomizer tool.
- Duplicate region, platform, and version stacks have been removed. This prevents any bias toward games with many different releases.
- The data was compared against PSN Profiles’ list of unobtainable platinum trophies and Delisted Games’ list of extinct titles. Any flagged titles were removed from the list.
- The dataset was filtered to exclude obvious “shovelware” titles. Generally, this means any games that can be completed in 30 minutes or less and/or have a greater than 90% completion rate have been excluded from the tool.
- Many games do not have available information for time to completion. In order to create this Randomizer, games without the appropriate data have been removed.
- Hours are rounded to the nearest whole number.
- The Randomizer allows for a maximum selection of up to 365 days, 365 games, and 24 hours per day. Note that longer challenges with strict hour per day limits might be more difficult for the Randomizer tool to fulfill.
- The tool currently checks that each candidate game meets the player’s specified playtime within a certain degree of error. Consideration was given to methods that allowed for greater variance in hours required to complete titles, but they were not feasible at present. Note that this might result in the total hours being slightly higher or lower than your intended goal.
