Persona 5 is an incredibly time-consuming platinum trophy for achievement hunters to go for. A casual playthrough of its core content can take anywhere from 80-100 hours. For trophy hunters, you are likely to spend around 150 hours for Persona 5 and 125 hours for Persona 5 Royal. These numbers also assume that you don’t encounter any bugs, glitches, or issues requiring additional playthroughs.
In fact, I personally encountered such an issue requiring additional playthroughs. One trophy players may be familiar with is “A Perfect Job,” in which you must complete all Mementos requests. This achievement also gatekeeps the trophy “Bookworm,” as several include books as rewards. In my case, I did not receive a vital text message from Mishima (Moon) when I was supposed to, thus locking me out of both trophies.
Between an initial casual playthrough, my bugged second playthrough, and a third clean-up playthrough for only those two trophies… I spent just shy of 240 hours getting the platinum trophy for the original Persona 5.
Even though I enjoyed the game immensely, it was still incredibly frustrating to deal with. I created these calendars to hopefully help prevent the same thing from happening to all of you. And, as an added bonus, I have also done the same for the revamped Persona 5 Royal.
Table of Contents
Persona 5
Trophies to Keep in Mind
The provided calendar is intended to be all-encompassing of a successful initial playthrough of Persona 5. If you follow the calendar to the letter, you will acquire the vast majority of trophies. However, there are a few trophies you may be missing:
- Passionate Listener: Listen to 250 of Futaba’s navigation lines
- It is likely that you will get this trophy naturally, so long as you rotate out different characters in your party.
- Craftworker: Craft all infiltration tools
- The calendar provides several opportunities for crafting. Make sure you prioritize items you have not crafted yet. You may also need to go out of your way to collect required materials if they do not drop during natural play. Try to get +3 Proficiency events as much as possible to ease your time here.
- Beyond Rehabilitation: Defeat the Twins (NG+)
- This battle is only available in New Game Plus, therefore my calendar will not cover it. The fight first becomes available on 5/8, but you have all the way until 12/22 to complete it.
- One Who Rebels Against A God: Create Satanael (NG+)
- This persona is New Game Plus exclusive. Follow the directions listed in December to acquire the fusion materials and money necessary to fuse this persona early in your next playthrough.
- Mask Collector: Complete the Persona Compendium (NG+)
- It is recommended to keep up-to-date with your Compendium as you venture through Palaces, however, I do not list any fusions in the calendar. You should make sure to complete the Compendium besides Satanael in December where noted.
- I personally enjoy this fusion calculator. Simply find the persona you would like to fuse with CTRL+F or with the search box, click its name, and near the bottom of the page you will see the required fusion materials.
Notes for Use
Below, you can click on the individual months to open them in a new tab at a larger size. You can also use the keyboard shortcuts CTRL + and CTRL – to adjust the zoom level as needed for your screen size.
In general, you should make sure to do the following:
- Succeed dialogue checks with characters. If you’re confident, you can go without a guide. Chihaya’s Rank 10 ability, Special Bond Reading, also shows you the correct dialogue options in-game if you choose to use it. Otherwise, I recommend using this Steam guide. It outlines every dialogue on one page, so you can easily search for what you need.
- Bring matching personas for Confidants in your inventory. The only Confidants that you do not need personas for are: Mishima (Moon), Yoshida (Sun), Morgana (Magician), Igor (Fool), Sae Nijima (Judgement), and the Twins (Strength).
- Get max rolls for crafting checks. The Proficiency +3 boost can be a big help as you min/max your time efficiently. In general, I recommend reloading if you don’t get the +3 roll.
- Save often. Don’t panic if you fall slightly behind, but try to adhere as closely as you can to the calendar. There is a small amount of wiggle room near the end in December.
- Money grinding. Many events and items in the game can be quite expensive, requiring you to grind for funds preemptively. You can use Chihaya’s (Fortune) Money Reading ability at Rank 3 to increase your gains. It may be wise to use it anytime before you enter a dungeon. You can also use this method to reach the cap.

Persona 5 Royal
Trophies to Keep in Mind
The provided calendar is intended to be all-encompassing of a successful playthrough of Persona 5 Royal. If you follow the calendar to the letter, you will acquire the vast majority of trophies. However, you should make sure to be thorough in Palaces, Mementos, and with executions in the Velvet Room. Some trophies you may need to watch out for:
- Talent Thief: Obtained a Skill Accessory from a Palace ruler.
- Find all of the Will Seeds in a Palace, then refine them with Jose in Mementos on your next visit.
- Professional Modification: Customized a gun.
- Once you’ve reached Rank 1 with Iwai, you can customize a gun in his shop. Doing so will net you this trophy.

Persona 5 Royal is far more forgiving than the original game when it comes to time management and its trophies. You will have plenty of free time near the end of the game should you need to clean up anything you missed.
